  THE PYLONS

The Pylons are a Ska band from Toronto. They have a very upbeat jazz sound. Their website is http://www.thepylons.com. They also recently played at Club 279 with THE SALADS so they might go places.......

GOOD MUSIC ALBUMS

The Ongoing History of New Music: Vol. 1: This album has lots of electronic experimentation. It's an album that talks about some of the msin contributors to music. It also features extensive liner notes. Some good songs on the compilation are Working With Fire and Steel by China Crisis, Money by the Flying Lizards, and Senses Working Overtime by XTC.

All Skanadian Club: This is an indie ska compilation featuring some great ska songs. They are all upbeat and energetic with jazz infusuions and great talent.

Thousand Foot Krutch, Pheonomenon: This is an album by a Christian Metal rock group. They have great songs which really sound very little like christian music. I'd compare them to Linkin Park, just a bit better.

The Stairs, Miraculous Happens: See below.

Reel Big Fish, Turn the Radio Off: This is a ska album from a group that was fairly popular in the late 90s. They are upbeat as ska usually is and are probably the only mainstream Ska group.

  Reel Big Fish

Reel Big Fish is a ska band with great music!

THE STAIRS

The Stairs are a band from Boston I came across while looking in a music store. They're really good and experiment with all sorts of sounds. I don't think you couls classify them as rock, jazz, rock n roll, or anything. Their debut album, Miraculous album has all sorts of music ranging from rock to jazz to Indian music. If you ever find one of their albums or any of their songs listen and you'll definitely like what you hear.

THE CLASH

The Clash are a British punk band from the late 70s/early 80s. They have a really good sound and are said to be the only reason punk didn't die out in the 80s. Their most famous songs are Rock the Casbah, Train in Vain, Should I stay or Should I go?, and London Calling. A good Clash album is The Clash Singles from Sony.
